PHOENIX, AZ—APRIL 19, 2013—Capital Eye broke his maiden Friday afternoon on his way to setting the top time for the Desert Classic Futurity at Turf Paradise Racetrack. The 10 fastest two-year-olds from the three trial races contested will return to the Arizona track on Friday May 3rd and vie for the winner' share of a $30,000-added purse over 300 yards.

Capital Eye was one of three finalists saddled by trainer Matthew Fales. The homebred for Womack Cavender Farms pulled six of the 10 fastest qualifiers from trial #1, including the top four, into the open final for 2-year-old American Quarter Horses.

Under jockey Jorge Bourdieu the Oklahoma-bred completed the 300 yard course in :15.868 seconds, getting his first career win in his first start. Mike Womack bred the Ivory James gelding from the Mr Eye Opener mare Fantastic Six.

Fales also saddled Heat Warning to victory in the second trial for owner/breeders Ralph and Carolyn Fales. Under jockey Rodolfo Arvizu the A Regal Choice gelding registered the fifth fastest time of :16.137 seconds. He is out of the Dixieland Heat Thoroughbred mare, Dry Heat. The Fales also qualified another home-bred, So You Can See, an Azyoucansee filly to the seventh fastest time.
