PHONEIX, AZ—DECEMBER 1, 2012—The super consistent Block N Tackle cruised to an easy 1 ¼ length victory over Famous Photo Saturday afternoon in the $38,950 AQRA-Turf Paradise Derby. Bringin It On finished a head back in the show position.
Under jockey Jorge Bourdieu, Block N Tackle picked up his ninth career win in 13 starts while completing the 400 yard course in :19.803 seconds, a 96 speed index. The $19,475 winner's purse boosts his career total to $171,502.
© Coady PhotographyMatt Fales conditions the Tac It Like a Man homebred for his parents Carolyn and Ralph Fales. The sorrel gelding out of Watchin The Rain, by Takin On The Cash was bred in Arizona. It was the second derby win of the year for Block N Tackle and his fourth career stakes victory.
