Trainer Matthew Fales Saddles Stakes Double on Sunday Card at Turf Paradise

PHOENIX, AZ—NOVEMBER 1, 2015—Trainer Matthew Fales saddled the AQRA Futurity winner and the Desert Classic Derby winner on Sunday's race card at Turf Paradise. Both stakes winners were sired by the Mr Jess Perry son Dejon, a brother to two-time AQHA Racing Champion Noconi.

Rockn Cowboy Best In AQRA Futurity

Making just his fourth career start Rockn Cowboy posted a half-length victory in the $26,125 AQRA Futurity getting a stakes double for trainer Matthew Fales on Sunday afternoon at Turf Paradise.

Bounty dash and Fj Blackdiamond who finished second and third were both disqualified for interference and placed fifth and 10th respectively. Alazan de Los Pobres and Kedahuefana were moved into the place and show spots.

Racing for owner/breeders S. Pierce and Larry Stark, Rockn Cowboy completed the 350 yards into a 7 mph headwind in :18.044 seconds to pocket the first place check worth $13,063. Jorge Bourdieu had the riding call.
